Jazz Band Camp will run from 9:00am-12:00n, June 10th-13th, and will feature rehearsals, sectionals, and a variety of fun activities! Jazz Band Camp is for students entering 6th through 9th grades in the fall of 2024, who have at least 2 years of experience on a traditional jazz instrument (saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, guitar, bass, drumset, vibraphone).
Students will need to supply their own instrument and accessories (mallets/sticks for percussion); storage for large instruments and a limited number of full-sized loaner instruments are available upon request. The camp is led by LHS Jazz Band Director Matt Karnstedt.
Students attending Jazz Band Camp may also attend Orchestra Camp in the afternoons for an additional $60 tuition; please note that supervision will NOT be available on campus during the lunch break; students should plan for an off-campus lunch.
